FGS Global is looking for a special kind of problem solver to join our Data Science and Analytics team as an intern. The ideal candidate is interested in learning how to apply data science tools to solve business problems, has communication skills to present findings in a concise and actionable deliverable, and holds a curiosity for unlocking the secrets held by a dataset. This position is based in our Washington, D.C office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with organizing and cleaning data under the guidance of team members
• Help perform basic analysis and summarize results
• Explore generative AI tools like ChatGPG, Copilot, etc.
• Create simple charts and visuals with guidance using BI tools like Looker
• Assist with documenting outcomes of prompt tests and brainstorming improvements
• Learn and apply Python, R, or SQL in small tasks and projects
• Learn to use Git for basic version control and documentation
• Help organize files, meeting notes, and shared team resources
• Support onboarding materials and team documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A current undergrad or graduate student studying data science, computer science, statistics, or similar
• Exposure to tools like Python, R, or SQL (coursework or self-study is great!)
• Curious about AI tools and new technologies 
• Strong attention to detail and interest in supporting both technical and organizational aspects of the team
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively

 

District of Columbia Salary Range$21—$23 USD
