Special Education Teacher - Case Management

Description

SpeechCom Inc is hiring a full-time special education teacher, with a mild to moderate services CTC credential in CA, to manage a special education caseload for students in Pasadena, CA for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.

Rate of Pay: $55 - $65 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours a week

Details:

• Caseload includes students from all grade levels (1st - 12th grade)
• Will work with other service providers.
• IEP paperwork, triennial assessments, IEP meetings, etc.

Requirements

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
• Develop individualized academic goals
• Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
• Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
• Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
• Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
