Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and safety management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a dedicated and collaborative team of professionals under the leadership of the Project and Quality Safety Director (PrQSD), driving for customer satisfaction through the project’s Safety, Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities starting at tender stage and throughout the project until contract closure (SQCDP).

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by driving the safety and quality assurance of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Project Managers, Engineering, Industrial, Supplier Quality, and Railway Safety teams), coordinate quality and safety activities, and oversee compliance with quality standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of establishing and implementing the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality and safety standards, but also act as the independent voice of the customer in the project organization, ensuring their expectations are met.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading quality and safety activities from the tender stage through project completion.
  • Acting as the interface with customer quality and safety teams, attending Customer Satisfaction Surveys, and ensuring action plans are monitored and executed.
  • Developing and maintaining the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) to ensure compliance with contract requirements and Alstom processes.
  • Coordinating quality and safety activities across various teams, including Engineering, Industrial, and Supplier Quality teams.
  • Supporting project audits, reviews, and supplier quality systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring the implementation of safety assessments and preparing safety authorizations.

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in engineering, ideally with a management background.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance and safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Prior experience in the rail industry or a comparable sector (e.g., aerospace, automotive, or heavy machinery).
  • Awareness of processes and products delivered in large-scale projects.
  • Experience in managing quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, QRQC, FMEA).
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI, and ECM.
  • Understanding of safety assessments and railway industry norms and certifications (preferred).
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in ramp-ups and supplier/customer-facing quality activities.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with Six Sigma principles and Lean methodologies (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
