<p>Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.</p><p></p><p><b>Senior Finance Administrator<br/>Location:</b> Brussels<br/><b>Package:</b> £Negotiable + Benefits<br/><br/>BDB Europe SRL is a dynamic Lloyd’s Broker, established in Brussels in 2018 as our new Headquarters of the BDB Group part of the Brown &amp; Brown Team.<br/><br/>With over 30 years of experience across Italy, France, UK, Belgium and Netherlands, we pride ourselves on our rich history, heritage, and unwavering drive.</p><p></p><p>We specialize in arranging wholesale insurance products and services through Lloyd’s and The London Market, covering a wide range of risks including accident and health, property, liability, professional indemnity, motor, yacht, and fine art.</p><p></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Finance Administrator to take ownership of financial operations and support strategic decision-making within a well-established insurance brokerage in the heart of Brussels, with a recognised branch in London.<br/><br/>This is a key position within a dynamic team of nine (3 in Belgium and 6 in UK), offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining robust financial control and supporting the continued growth of the business. Immediate start – full-time.</p><p></p><p><b>The day to day:</b><br/> </p><p><b>Payments &amp; Cash Management</b></p><ul><li>Supervise and review the processing of premium receipts and payments to insurers and clients.</li><li>Oversee accurate input of transactions into financial systems and maintenance of the cash book.</li><li>Ensure timely allocation of receipts and effective management of cash flows.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Reconciliation &amp; Ledger Oversight</b></p><ul><li>Take responsibility for complex client and broker account reconciliations.</li><li>Oversee and review bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.</li><li>Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Financial Documentation &amp; Compliance</b></p><ul><li>Ensure that all accounting documents, Slips/Cover Notes, and lapsed files are accurately digitised and stored in the Document Management System in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.</li><li>Maintain a clear audit trail for all financial transactions.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Invoice &amp; Expense Management</h3><ul><li>Oversee the verification and processing of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation.</li><li>Support the implementation of efficient workflows for accounts payable processes.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Monitoring, Reporting &amp; Analysis</h3><ul><li>Monitor financial KPIs related to credit control, cash flow, and reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and present periodic financial reports to senior management.</li><li>Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial controls and operational efficiency.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Month-End &amp; Year-End Processes</h3><ul><li>Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journals, and reporting.</li><li>Collaborate with the Finance Manager and Divisional Director on financial statements, audits, and regulatory filings.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Credit Control &amp; Receivables Management</h3><ul><li>Lead and manage the credit control process to ensure timely collection of premiums.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to resolve outstanding balances.</li><li>Oversee the monitoring of credit terms and prepare regular reports for Directors on overdue accounts.</li><li>Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of credit control records and premium files.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we're look​ing for:</b><br/> </p><p>This is a role requiring a strong background in financial administration, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
