Job Description

RESPEC, a leading Data and Technology consulting organization, seeks a Mid to Senior Level Software Developer to support a mission critical IT program for a major laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  You will be part of a team working with customers to provide development and related activities for various product support applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work tasks are organized allowing development efforts to be completed both on-site and off-site
• Software Developer supports existing applications as well as developing new applications
• Support includes designing fixes to issues, implementation of enhancements, application re-write, and additional maintenance functions of applications on an as needed basis. 
• Flexibility to support  work assignments that may vary from week-to-week but are expected to average 40 hours per week
• Attends mandatory daily meetings with the development Team to review tasks and status and, as required, prepares, and submits written status reports
• Demonstrates consistent dependability by taking responsibility for actions
• Keeping commitments and willingness to deliver work even when it may entails working additional hours to reach goals
• Completes tasks on a timely basis

Minimum Requirements:

• US Citizenship: dual citizenship not allowed
• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Computer Information Systems degree) and 5-10 years of experience
• Ability and willingness to obtain a DOE Security Clearance (Q or L) and maintain it for the life of the contract
• Demonstrated software design experience
• Strong .NET and C# experience
• Web development experience (preferably on ASP.NET-based frameworks)
• Familiarity with a range of programming languages and frameworks including .NET (e.g., C#, ASP.NET), Java, SQL, Delphi, Python, and JavaScript
• Experience implementing, and documenting software engineering design patterns
• Familiar with Automating code and CI/CD in Docker and Kubernetes or similar tools
• Familiar with Automated Testing Frameworks (such as xUnit)
• Experienced documenting application architecture and source code
• Experience with source control and project management software (git experience preferred.  Azure DevOps a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• JavaScript.
• Java experience.
• Some  Delphi experience.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
