About the role

[What the role is]
We are looking for self-driven staff to support policy reviews and engagements related to community stewardship efforts and initiatives by NParks.

You will be part of a team overseeing the policies and outreach/engagement efforts for NParks’ community programmes such as the Nature Kakis Network, Social Enterprise Community Urban Farm (SECUF) and Youth Stewards for Nature (YSN) to promote community stewardship for our City in Nature.

[What you will be working on]

•            Outreach and engagement of social enterprises as part of the SECUF initiative to encourage grant take-up and facilitate the application of SECUF Grants by social enterprises.

•            Foster closer partnerships with SECUF grantees (social enterprises) to enhance reach and impact of edible gardening programmes.

•            Engage stakeholders from different community groups (e.g. grassroots, youths, etc.) to develop City in Nature-related initiatives through the Nature Kakis Network.

•            Facilitate capacity building programmes to support Nature Kakis volunteers in self-organising City in Nature-related activities.

•            Be part of the secretariat team overseeing the YSN programme. Plan, organise and implement milestone events under the YSN programme to foster cohort/group identity among youth participants.

•            Develop and execute training programmes to build NParks staff’s capability in youth engagement and mentorship to nurture and mentor youths under the YSN programme and enhance youth stewardship.

•            Support the team in generating programme collaterals and update website content for websites managed under the team.

[What we are looking for]

•            Someone versatile and open to learning opportunities for different scopes of work, from policy reviews to come up with guiding frameworks and recommendations; to engagement and outreach to build partnerships with different stakeholders.

•            Experience in driving and delivering programmes, with skills in public outreach, stakeholder management,  facilitation and engagement, creating collaterals and content, etc.

•            A good team player who is also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

•            Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills

•            Meticulous with eye for detail

•            Prepared to work outside office hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays for events and outreach, where necessary
