Quality Control Inspector

Description

Job Summary: The Quality Control Inspector shall be responsible for auditing the product assembled on his/her shift while maintaining the records showing that the minimum quality standards were met. He/she will also perform tests and issue reports as directed by his/her supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintains quality standards by approving in-process and finished products
• Assuring product conforms to consistent standards and meets minimum standards of quality
• Approve material based on observations
• Compile data and create reports for review
• Maintain consistent knowledge of the extrusion process and a thorough understanding of the quality requirements of the product we produce
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing process
• Use tape measure, digital calipers as well as other test machines
• Computer literate (preferred)
• Self-motivated, organized, detailed, excellent written and oral communication
• Bilingual a plus
• Available to work all shifts

Physical demands & work environment:

• Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required in all facilities
• Employee will be working indoors most of the time and outdoors occasionally
• Workplace environment will feature both hot and cold temperatures
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
• Employee must have the ability to be on one’s feet 90% and in an office environment 10% of time.
