We’re looking for someone like you to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, and data mining for the Department of Defense.

Across private and public sectors, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence, we need you to help find the answers in the data. 

On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:  

• 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis 

• 3+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources  

• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources  

• Experience developing and tuning artificial intelligence or machine learning algorithms and implementing testing or validation approaches appropriate to available data and validation targets

• Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs 

• Experience communicating complex analytic methods or technologies to technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques 

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in a Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or Computer Science field and 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining, or 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience with data extraction, parsing, manipulation, and storage

• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analyses based on the large volume of data from various IC databases 

• Experience with data analysis and visualization packages, including Pandas, Plotly, Seaborn, or Matplotlib

• Experience leading technical teams in a management or subject matter expert advisory capability

• Experience conducting data extraction, parsing, manipulation, and analysis of large volumes of data from various IC databases

• Experience with data engineering techniques, especially for cloud-based data infrastructure and data lake environments

• Experience developing custom scripts, queries, or visualizations to support analysis of IC data

• Experience with cloud-based tools and services for ML algorithm development on multiple platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Microsoft Azure ML, or Google BigQuery
