ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development so as to meet agreed organizational performance goals within agreed budgets and timescales
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff
- Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
- Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance.
- Ensure activities meet with and integrate with requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and other regulatory compliance guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all staff assigned . Responsible for hiring and managing all performance related aspects of staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Highly effective communication skills and a good command of the English language.
Stays abreast of current and emerging relative to requisite discipline, function and higher education.
Good planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Good relationship management skills.
Good problem solving ability, judgment and sound decision making.
Excellent time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Proficient with computer software including MS Office Suite.
- Stays abreast of current trends, technology, state and/or federal requirements, and GCU policies and procedures.
Participation in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community.
Demonstrated administrative leadership skills in managing growth and resources.
Good coaching, counseling, mentoring and advising skills and ability.
Ability to successfully pass background investigations.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred..
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant leadership/management experience
