Job Description:

The staff system analyst (Software) is responsible for maintaining and improving systems and processes that support Allison’s internal software development capability.  

 

This role applies business acumen, Allison process knowledge, software development experience, and project management skills to bring about transformative change to business processes across all product engineering domains. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Allison software development processes and tools to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with peers and product owners to develop and document roadmaps for systems that enable software development 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software and development tools 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders as necessary to define and implement new/improved processes and systems 
  • Validate system changes to ensure they meet the needs of the organization 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in relevant tools and processes 
  • Envision, design, implement, deploy, and maintain systems using a variety of supported languages and tools

  • On-Time Project Milestones 
  • Positive customer experiences as measured by surveys and informal feedback 
  • External audit compliance
