Job Description
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Quality Manager to join our team of professionals.
The Quality Manager is a resource to the project team in project delivery, constructability, building
technology, workflow, sequencing, and proper installation techniques. This position requires continuous
prioritized training and mentoring by the QA/QC Vice President and other Quality Managers and Directors.
This position participates in Submittal and Shop Drawings review, Initial Trade Pre-Construction Meetings,
Trade Pre-installation meetings, and frequent job site walkthroughs and reporting.
Major job duties:
- Fully supported by the Quality Department, including the Quality Director and QA/QC Vice President.
- Collaborates with the Project Team to develop job-specific quality procedures with the assistance of the Quality Department.
- Participates in design reviews as required per Project with the assistance of the Quality Department.
- Serves as a quality resource to the Project team in project delivery, constructability, building technology, and quality.
- Works with trade contractors to develop and implement their trade contractor quality control plans.
- Identifies project risks through AECOM’s constructability review process and advises the project teams with options to eliminate or minimize those risks with the assistance of the Quality Department.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and work with the Quality Director, QA/QC Vice President, and others to develop and implement solutions.
- Opportunities to participate in education regarding trends affecting construction and quality.
- Reviews work in the field, photographing and discussing work in place with the project team.
- Writes reports for each job site walkthrough, giving directions and suggestions to correct work-in-place.
- Leads the team through pre-defined pre-installation meetings and takes notes.
- Assists with the Trade Contractor Job Specific Quality Plan reviews.
- Liaison between the Trade Contractor Quality individual or team.
- Participates in industry events and learning opportunities when available.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management plus 8 years of experience in the design and/or construction industry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
