Job Description

Vuori is seeking an experienced production artist to join our quickly growing creative team. You will be responsible for supporting the Retail Design team to create all in-store and store opening projects. This role will be accountable for creating mechanical files, communicating with vendors, and partnering with our visual merchandising team to make sure our retail presence is engaging to our customers, and printed pieces are at the highest standards. This person will have experience in the fashion and active apparel industry, and the highest level of attention to detail. The Production Artist will report to the Sr. Graphic Designer, Retail and will partner with the Visual Merchandising and Creative teams to ensure projects are accurate, on-schedule and on-brand.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Design and create mechanical files for any store creative assets (in-store images, store signage, NSO barricades). 
• Manipulate and batch export CAD files. 
• Prepare and organize large imagery print files for all Vuori stores. 
• Create high quality mockups to display creative work in a real-life environment for review purposes. 
• A passion for creativity, are active team participants and contributors to a creative work culture 
• Work with the Sr Retail Designer and cross functional teams to create best in class experiences for our customers.  
• Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to create assets that are the highest quality, and that meet our budget and shipping needs.  
• Ensure all projects are accurate, specs are correct, text is proof-read, and mechanical files are set up accurately. Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training 
• 1-3 years professional experience in a design agency, in-house firm, brand or similar in the fashion industry 
• Outstanding knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, imagery, and retail design.  
• An affinity for creative storytelling and customer experience in retail environments 
• Possess the ability to communicate ideas and designs through sketching or other quick visuals 
• Can interpret engineering drawings and architectural floor plans and the ability to create documents and drawings for outside vendors 
• Can work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously 
• A basic understanding of retail fixturing and visual merchandising 
• Knowledge of large format printing 
• Understanding of retail in-store construction and fabrication 
• Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping workstreams moving forward simultaneously 
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at communicating and defending creative work 
• Attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects 
• Proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the work, continually pushing the vision forward 
• Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat

Pay Range: $28/hr - $31/hr
