Reporting to the Associate Director, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for delivery of monthly accounts, quarterly and annual statutory reporting and regulatory reporting deliverables for the Davy Group. In addition, the role will involve supporting the Head of Financial Reporting and Group Financial Controller with reporting projects, financial analysis and technical accounting analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the month end close process within Capital Markets and other areas of the business
- Preparation of bi-annual and annual statutory financial statement notes for the Groups parent.
- Preparation of the Firm’s FinRep regulatory returns on a quarterly basis, with a focus on quality variance analysis to ensure accuracy and that regulatory queries are fully resolved to.
- Support preparation of selected subsidiary financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and files where applicable.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS accounting standards.
- Support in the successful delivery of the year end Audit, including Audit Preparation, responding to Audit Queries and preparation of technical accounting memos.
- Fostering an environment of continuous improvement of internal controls, processes and financial systems, and ensuring processes and controls are adhered to.
- Support the Business teams through implementation, monitoring and ongoing automation and improvement of the Finance system processes to meet business needs and new developments in an effective and efficient manner.
- Participation in other ad-hoc projects as directed by Associate Director and systems developments/improvements
- Compliance with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant preferably with experience in a Financial services environment
- Confident pro-active self-starter with a can-do attitude, who can work on their own initiative and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient data analytical and advanced Excel, Word capability and PowerPoint
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills required
- Keen interest in pursuing a career within the Finance team
