Compensation
$99,000 - 133,000 *This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Senior Software Engineer
NDT R&D is searching for a highly skilled software engineer to lead NDT software development as part of highly technical NDT projects. These projects span from pre-concept, early development to post-launch related projects. This role includes: leadership, software development, working with external partners, and working with multiple disciplines within Carestream. You will gain insight from current and future customers and have the opportunity to attend off-site meetings and trade shows. Our current platform is an industrial radiography application that runs on a laptop. It can operate in areas with poor to no network connectivity. Images are acquired using Digital Radiography (DR) detectors and Computed Radiography (CR) phosphor plates. Both gamma and X-Ray radiation are used. Control of the generator with X-Ray radiation is not always available.
In this role you will be at the epicenter of product development and be able to develop future features and product content with a diverse team that understands product differentiation can come from the capabilities of their software. NDT R&D knows where they want to go and need your help to get there.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for releases of NDT software - all aspects
- Work with our external partner to design the tablet software and the next generation of NDT software
- deliver detector SDK
- deliver Eclipse image processing
- Support field issues
- Develop framework for, and drive NDT software opportunities
Required Skills & Education:
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Imaging Science
- has at least 5 years of software development experience
- has a broad understanding of coding and programming languages
- has a strong desire to learn new things and balance a variety of tasks
- has experience developing new software as well as maintaining existing software
- has experience in product development involving hardware

- experience with the DICOM/DICONDE protocol
- experience with Eclipse image processing <
