Role Overview:
As the Finance Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of eTelligent Group. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, conducting compliance audits, and monitoring internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant departments to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide insights to the management team.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting principles. Address any identified issues and recommend improvements to internal controls.
- Internal Controls: Monitor internal control processes and procedures to minimize the risk of errors, fraud, and inefficiencies. Implement best practices to safeguard the company's assets and financial data.
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Present findings to the leadership team.
- Cash Management: Oversee cash flow management, including working capital, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to maintain healthy cash flow for the company.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Financial Planning & Strategy: Contribute to the development of financial strategies and long-term business plans in collaboration with the management team.
- External Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Skills required:
- Thorough understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards in handling financial information.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Education and requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Controller or similar role, preferably in IT industry.
- US Citizenship/Green Card holder (GC atleast 3+ Years)
Working Conditions:
- The Finance Controller will work primarily from our Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey office, with an onsite presence of 3-4 days per week.
- Occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate urgent financial reporting or project deadlines.
