Job title: Sales Designer
Pay: Base salary of $78K - $93K depending on experience, plus a lucrative commission structure. Sales professionals meeting expectations typically earn $140K - $150K annually, with top performers exceeding that. No cap on earnings.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am to 5pm
Location: Phoenix, Oregon
The Sales Designer is responsible for using the company's FACE values, mission, and vision as guides in order to meet the needs of the customers and reach their facilities goals. This is accomplished through hiring, training, giving feedback, and investing in their team.
This position directly reports to the Division Sales Manager. The Sales Designer interacts daily with all employees and customers. They also interact regularly with corporate employees, vendor representatives, and industry associates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of management principles, practices, and protocols
- Knowledge of Roof and Floor Truss design and construction
- Knowledge of home and commercial construction principles, practices, and protocols
- Knowledge of the effects of "market conditions" upon the wood products industry
- Must be able to type 30+ WPM
- Proficient in MiTek design software or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record required
- Willingness to commute
- Strong organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help to achieve facilities annual profit projections
- Continually update product knowledge and selling techniques
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors
- Assist customers at point-of-sale, as needed
- Strives for continuous improvement, seeking out, listening, and responding to input from employees and customers
- Demonstrates great listening skills and follow-up as necessary
- Consistently seeks and identifies the details and processes that lead to positive change
- Understands how to use a construction master and or scientific calculator
- Understands truss hangers and knows how to manually specify them using catalogs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The Sales Designer works in the design office or truss plant location on a PC. The working hours fall between 7am - 5 pm M-F and may occasionally include some weekends and evenings.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day
