The Eye Institute Ophthalmology Practice is an integral component of the Ambulatory Care Network. It is a multispecialty practice providing consultative services which include general ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, contact lens/low vision, cornea and external disease, eye muscle, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, orbital and plastic, retina, uveitis and diagnostic services-visual field testing. This is your opportunity to impact assist patients and learn about a variety of specialties every day.

Ophthalmic Assistant - Adult Eye Clinic - Columbia - Day - PART TIME

Work with state of the art equipment and learn from the best in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you can grow and develop your skills. On a daily basis, the Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions to assist practitioners and management in daily clinic operations.  This is a technical, patient facing position.

This part time position is from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM working 3 days per week. No weekends or holidays.

Preferred Criteria 

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED   
• Six months to one year ophthalmology experience or Medical Assistant experience
