The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a medical/technical writer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Using scientific or clinical knowledge, writing, and analytical skills to research, create, develop, edit, format, and proof medical/scientific publications.
  • Producing or assisting with production of medical/scientific publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, etc) that conform to applicable journal and conference guidelines.
  • Working as a member of cross-functional teams to develop supplements, product monographs, government documents, and other materials, as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining familiarity with all Solventum product literature.
  • Reporting to Medical Publications Manager and working closely with other team members in Medical Publications as well as assisting in special writing projects, as needed.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND at least 1-3 years of experience in researching and writing medical/scientific publications.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • At least 1+ years of demonstrated experience with the concepts and practices of medical/scientific writing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including, but not limited, to Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (or other similar PC programs).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of wound healing and Solventum products.
  • Fluent in Spanish reading and writing, preferred.
  • At least 1+ years of demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • At least 1+ years of demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • At least 1+ years of ability to deal effectively with all employees and external healthcare professionals and scientists while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • At least 1+ years of ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • At least 1+ years of demonstrated writing, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • At least 1+ years of demonstrated communication and presentation skills.

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to San Antonio at least 1 day per month for training purposes)
