Serta Simmons Bedding, the #1 mattress manufacturer in the world, is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in West Palm Beach, FL.

In this vital role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and facilities, playing a key part in maintaining the high standards of quality and reliability that our customers have come to expect.

How You'll Do It:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with company and OSHA regulations to prevent injuries.
• Complete assignments efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety standards, company policies, and Lean principles.
• Independently perform and lead complex equipment/system maintenance and modifications (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, pneumatics).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical analysis of equipment and processes to recommend improvements in productivity, quality, and cost savings.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs, and prepare technical reports documenting modifications and procedures.
• Lead and develop AM/PM training programs for standards, procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor and train Operators and Maintenance Technicians, fostering skill development and team collaboration.
• Manage individual and team projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to policies.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability, capability, and yield.
• Develop, document, and maintain maintenance records, including requisitioning parts/tools and managing inventory.
• Collaborate with Engineering to plan and implement equipment installations or rearrangements.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Apply strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills to meet maintenance and project objectives.
• Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or technical certifications preferred
• Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant training in two or more maintenance trades, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC controls, robotics, and pneumatics
• Leadership: Previous experience in training and/or leading others required
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of spreadsheet or database software preferred
• Industry Experience: Experience in a bedding manufacturing environment and/or familiarity with sewing equipment is a plus

Job Factors/Work Environments

• Stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day; extended hours may be required during overtime.
• Lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift or longer, to meet customer demand. (Heavy loads must be team-lifted.)
• Work in a make-to-order system environment, maintaining high standards of operational integrity.
• Operate in a safety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement.
