Senior Software Engineer, BigQuery Continuous Queries

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• Experience programming in C++.
• Experience with distributed computing, database internals, and large-scale data processing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• Experience working with database or storage systems, BigQuery, or distributed databases.
• Experience programming in Java.

BigQuery is a multi-tenant cloud-based data warehouse storing exabytes of user data. In this role, you will be working on a long-term innovative effort to support continuous query processing natively in BigQuery. This will enable the users to run complex streaming scenarios ingesting/exporting real time data from/to Pub-Sub/Kafka/Bigtable for dashboarding, online monitoring, real-time Machine Learning (ML) inferencing. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
