Cloud Software Engineering is a leading Intel organization working on cloud software development including Cloud Native, Kubernetes, AI solutions on cloud, networking, IaaS orchestration, etc. We build technical leadership in the projects, and contribute to feature development, stability, scalability, security, simplicity, interoperability, and performance optimization in open source. We are looking for software engineering manager to lead a team of experienced cloud software professionals working across different Intel teams and with the open-source communities. The team works on top cloud native open-source projects including Cloud Native AI, OPEA, Kubernetes orchestration, container runtimes, performance optimization, system observability, Intel Tiber Cloud etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads the team of experienced engineers working on cloud software, Kubernetes orchestration and Cloud Native AI
• Defines objectives for the team and aligns with both internal and external stakeholders. Contributes to the team mission, vision and strategy.
• Drives execution through key results on cloud software development, design, debug, validation, optimization and cloud customer enablement. Collaborates with program management on requirements process and task assignment.
• Sets priorities for the team, achieves results across boundaries, ensures an inclusive work environment, develops employees, and manages their individual performance.
• Manages various people-related processes.
• Contributes to relevant technology strategies.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Insipiring leader capable for motivating and guiding software teams for results
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, fluent in English
• Collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, and adaptive to change
• Growth mindset, integrity in behaviors
• Flexibility to work across different time zones
• Knowledge of Cloud Native software technologies such as Kubernetes, container runtimes, microservices
• Experience with Linux operating system
• Understanding on open-source software development principles and interaction with communities
• 5+ years of professional engineering management experience
• Proficient on using software such as Microsoft Office, Jira
• Education of MSc or equivalent in SW Engineering

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge on one or more of the following domains:

• AI on cloud, confidential compute, power and performance on cloud
• Familiar with containerized workloads for data center
• Understanding of Intel architecture
• Experience on cloud administration
• Skills on technical documentation and technology marketing
• Track record for open-source project management or contributions
