Accounting Assistant/Junior Accountant

Position Summary: The Junior Accountant will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in the field of accounting while contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities: 

• Financial Data Entry: Accurately input financial      transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets, including accounts      payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank      statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to      ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports,      such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under      the guidance of senior accountants or supervisors.
• Assistance in Audits: Provide support during internal      and external audits by preparing documentation, retrieving records, and      addressing auditor inquiries.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant      accounting standards, regulations, and company policies in all financial      activities.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative      support to the finance team, including filing documents, organizing      records, and responding to inquiries.

· All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting,      Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of basic      accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel      and other accounting software
• Conscientious about timeliness of      assignments and quality of work
• Excellent attention to detail and      accuracy in data entry.
• Strong analytical and      problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a      team environment.
• Excellent communication and      interpersonal skills.
• Previous internship or work      experience in accounting is a plus, but not required.
