This Consultant, Business Advisor role will support Alternative Ventures within the CLESS Data and Digital Solutions organization.  Our team partners with internal planning units and external partners to define, obtain and curate data into easy to consume analytics and visualizations, empowering our business partners to achieve their strategic priorities.  We value creativity, adaptability, curiosity, analytical aptitude, and collaboration. 

Ideal candidate in this position will possess the following skill sets:

• Single point of contact for our business partners; building a strong relationship with a deep understanding of business partner strategies
• Builds and maintains relationships and serves as a trusted partner with Internal planning units and External Program partners and stakeholders as well as matrixed partners in IT, Finance and Actuarial
• Solution oriented consultation with the ability to clearly translate business needs to requirements that can be effectively executed upon by data engineers and data visualizers
• Leverage data mining / data query techniques and tools (SQL and Python) to collect, compile and analyze data
• Proficient in using data visualization tools and software such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.  As well as having knowledge of data management / data administration tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, dBeaver, Toad
• Accountable for delivery of data visualizations to effectively communicate findings and insights to senior executives, managers, and key stakeholders. 
• Identifies and interprets variances and trends
• Process and data flow documentation, as needed

As a Consultant, Business Insights, you’ll extract data to obtain knowledge and insights, manipulate internal and external data through R/SAS/SQL/Python, perform diagnostic and inferential analysis, investigate complex business concerns using data and statistical techniques, apply analysis or visualization techniques, build forecasts and/or projections of possible business futures and benefits, and communicate key findings to business partners. Your focus will be to maximize insight gained from internal and external data to ensure that business partners are making decisions in an optimally informed way.
