Summary
The Business Analyst in the Information Technology department, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, is responsible for supporting and enhancing the College’s Enterprise Applications, with a primary focus on Workday ERP and SIS systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that business processes are optimized and that technology solutions align with institutional goals. The Business Analyst collaborates across departments to deliver timely, high-quality solutions and maintains documentation and integrations that support the College’s operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
60% of Time: Workday ERP and SIS Support
Oversee Workday-related projects and enhancements.
Design and modify Workday reports, to support the needs of users at the college.
Create and maintain calculated fields and conditional rules for automated workflows.
Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and implement business process updates within Workday.
Troubleshoot system problems, determine root cause, and implement solutions.
Design, configure, and test integrations between Workday and external systems using Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB) and other Workday tools.
Monitor and assess integration failures, assessing reasons and partnering with functional users on solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements gathering, business processes, integrations, procedures, and system configuration by the team.
Understand Workday security including adjusting domains and security groups.

40% of Time: Project Management
Engage with internal stakeholders to determine a strategy and vision for software applications, including business needs and requirements.
Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted partner and subject matter expert.
Collect, analyze, and translate business requirements into user stories, workflows, business process logic, process maps, wireframes, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects through developing project plans and monitoring performance.
Configure, test and deploy requested and required changes in coordination with functional offices and Technology support.
Participate in system planning and testing including user acceptance testing and system integration testing.
Creates and maintains business relationships with respective stakeholders on campus, and supports their work and functional needs with relevant expertise.
Provide guidance and consult with the College's information security staff on best practices for the team's projects.
Community Engagement
Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
