Kinaxis has a well-established team of Sales and Professional Services professionals across the US. Our newest office is based in Irving’s Las Colinas development and will serve as a centralized hub where employees and customers from across the US can come together to work towards solving some of the biggest challenges facing supply chains.

About the role

The Senior Industry Principal serves as a trusted advisor to Kinaxis’ customers and prospects, offering deep industry expertise in supply chain management and value engineering, with a specific focus on the Automotive and Industrial segments. Operating in a pre-sales capacity, the Senior Industry Principal uses a consultative, value-based approach to identify strategic opportunities, shape solution vision, and develop tailored roadmaps that demonstrate how Kinaxis solutions can address the inherently complex and intricate supply chain challenges within these sectors and deliver measurable business value.

What you will do

  • Act as a pursuit manager on key opportunities, collaborating with sales, pre-sales, and services to position the right solutions, shape demo strategies, and ensure alignment with the unique operational and strategic objectives of Automotive and Industrial clients.

  • Apply deep domain expertise in areas critical to Automotive and Industrial supply chains, such as demand planning for highly configurable products, S&OP in volatile markets, multi-echelon supply planning, global supplier collaboration, aftermarket services optimization, and navigating complex bill of materials (BOMs) and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrate profound knowledge of Kinaxis solutions – both current and emerging – and translate complex industry challenges and trends (e.g., EV transition, geopolitical disruptions, intricate product lifecycles, MRO complexities) into tailored Kinaxis solutions that align with each customer’s unique business needs.

  • Develop industry and customer-specific messaging to support sales efforts and build long-term relationships with customers across business, finance, and IT stakeholders within the Automotive and Industrial ecosystems.

  • Leverage competitive intelligence to highlight Kinaxis’ unique value and differentiation specifically within the Automotive and Industrial supply chain technology market.

  • Lead value engineering efforts by creating and presenting robust business cases that clearly demonstrate ROI and the strategic value of Kinaxis solutions for capital-intensive and highly integrated operations.

  • Maintain industry-leading expertise in supply chain and technology domains, with a strong emphasis on Automotive and Industrial sector nuances, to support customer success and innovation.

  • Serve as a thought leader in the supply chain industry by contributing to white papers, case studies, and industry publications that showcase Kinaxis’ innovation and expertise, specifically targeting Automotive and Industrial supply chain transformation.

  • Represent Kinaxis at industry conferences, symposiums, and webinars through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and expert sessions, with a focus on Automotive and Industrial sector events.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop thought leadership content that aligns with emerging trends and customer challenges specific to the Automotive and Industrial segments.

  • Build and maintain a strong professional presence in the industry through active participation in forums, associations, and digital platforms relevant to Automotive and Industrial supply chain communities.
