The goal of the RevOps team is to build the foundation of our internal systems and processes, scale these systems, and improve efficiencies across the board. The team blends high-level strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution to propel the company to grow and scale well, with a strong focus on analytical and quantitative thinking. The team works cross-functionally across the company, particularly with sales, customer success, finance, legal, product, and IT.
This is an opportunity to help drive rapid but scalable new business, focused specifically on Deal Operations. We are looking for someone who loves working with multiple teams and stakeholders, thrives in a fast paced environment, and wants to help iterate on how we scale our deal processes as SOCi continues to grow. The Deal Operations Analyst role is responsible for the quoting and deal operations processes, working closely with the SOCi Sales Team and RevOps team to drive closed business and rapid company growth.
Come join the SOCi Deal Operations team and take an advisory role in proposing viable deal structures for our customers while addressing the needs of internal corporate stakeholders, maximizing revenue, and helping increase the productivity of our sales teams. Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Finance, Accounting, and Legal. This role will collaborate with the field sales organization and others to close complex, non-standard revenue deals in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Deal Operations team with Deal Structuring, Quoting and Pricing, Special Terms and Exception Approvals Management.
- Accelerate deal cycles to close and maximize revenue by partnering with our sales reps in proposal building, pricing, quote generation and opportunity management in an effort to structure profitable and compliant transactions
- Review proposals / quotes and provide sales with deal structure and pricing guidance to optimize profitability, meet strategic corporate goals, and accelerate deal closure.
- Provide proactive support, guidance and creative solutions to the sales team in order to help drive new deals as well as for renewal / up-sell / cross-sell opportunities, while being aware of relevant customer information, provisioning and current billing
- Create and position complex orders: partner with Sales & Customer Success teams to craft proposals for deal constructs and special pricing while ensuring adherence to our sales policies and pricing, quoting, and contract processes
- Ensure orders have all proper documents needed by all key stakeholders and are free of errors both on paper and in our systems, before an opportunity gets closed won
- Partner with our sales reps to drive the best deals for both the customer + SOCi
- Work closely with key internal teams (including Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Finance, Accounting, and Legal) to drive deals to close and payment
- Support sales enablement: be a key resource in quotes and proposal building processes; help onboard and maintain best practices and overall knowledge in the sales org; train teams and new hires as processes evolve
- Operational efficiency: Build scalable improvements to our Salesforce & internal systems to increase contract velocity, sales productivity, and Deal Ops team efficiency
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Sales or Deal Operations
- BS or MS in Accounting or Finance a Plus
- You have a strong understanding of SaaS sales models and processes
- Experience with Salesforce and Enterprise quoting and approval workflow systems required
- Strong analytical skills to assess and optimize proposal structuring and deal economics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must be comfortable presenting business cases and complex pricing proposals to senior executives
- Highly skilled in being the primary orchestration point for deal construction and deal governance across many cross-functional segments
- Excellent comprehension of detailed pricing models and strategies
- Sound decision-making and strategic planning skills to recommend the best course of action for complex pricing situations
- Critical thinking and change management skills within dynamic organizations
- Ability to prioritize and work in high volume environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate closely with many different teams to drive solutions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize day to day task
