Senior Business Systems Analyst

Tygart Technology is seeking a <strong>Senior Business Systems Analyst</strong> to join our team supporting a DOJ component in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will analyze business needs, assess risks, and support the development of data products aligned with governance and data mesh strategies. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers and data domain teams, and <strong>requires an active Secret security clearance. </strong><br />

<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Analyze and assess business propositions, including strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risks, to inform decision-making.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Product Managers to define product approaches that meet user needs, aligning with the business strategy.</li>
<li>Map and evaluate risks related to product approaches, proposing mitigation strategies and solutions.</li>
<li>Works with teams to define how user and financial benefits will be realized and measured.</li>
<li>Provide actionable recommendations based on comprehensive business analysis and risk assessments.</li>
<li>Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and user needs.</li>
<li>Assist in the design and deployment of data products by ensuring alignment with data governance and data mesh strategies.</li>
<li>Collaborate with data domain teams to develop scalable and effective data solutions that support self-service analytics.</li>
<li>Monitor compliance with data governance standards, including data privacy, access control, and lineage management.</li>
<li>Contribute to organizational training initiatives for data stewards and users, supporting the adoption of data mesh principles and data governance best practices.</li>
<li>Provide team specific training as needed.</li>
</ul>
<strong>Qualifications:</strong>

<ul>
<li>An active Secret Security Clearance (required)</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.</li>
<li>A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting application development projects.</li>
<li>Experience working on Agile development teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies.</li>
<li>Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.</li>
<li>Strong ability to work under pressure with excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
