The Academy Operations Manager with an emphasis on Crisis and Transportation will be accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of BHA Academy to ensure the school and school transportation divisions operate efficiently, safely, and effectively by providing direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and expectations set forth by the Director. 

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and oversight of student crises and ensuring compliance with restraint and seclusion guidelines. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational management of transportation services and vehicles within the Community Living division. 

They are responsible for the supervision and direction of crisis and transportation services provided in the academy to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of quality that have been established by the organization and relevant regulatory bodies.

The Operations Manager with an emphasis on crisis and transportation is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operational aspects of crisis and transportation, including but not limited to: safety, compliance protocols, HR practices, employee relations, new hire onboarding, training, fleet management, route efficiencies, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Educational or Organizational Leadership, Business Management or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of management experience is preferred or other combination of experience is required to conduct key responsibilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Communicate      and coordinate with the Director of Educational Services regularly to ensure that the company mission and      procedures are embraced, and quality of service is ensured. 

2. Oversees the day-to-day operational aspects of crisis support at BHA Academy, including but not limited to: staffing, scheduling, training, services, intake, etc.

  1. Supervise and oversee the Transportation      Coordinator to ensure all routes are safe, efficient, and meet      expectations.
  2. Supervise and oversee the Fleet Manager,      ensuring the fleet meets company standards and the maintenance and safety      of all vehicles are maintained.
  3. Regularly review and audit safe driving      measures.
  4. Will ensure that all vehicles have current      state registration and insurance coverage.
  5. Ensure protection and management of      company assets.
  6. Determine the need for additional company      assets and timelines associated with the purchase.
  7. Supervises      and collaborates with the transportation team providing leadership,      training, and retention of drivers/aides. 
  8. Supervises and collaborates      with the crisis support team, providing direction, training, time      management, and retention. 

9.   Ensures that all aspects of crisis intervention follow and meet state and PCMA compliance guidelines and best practices.

10.  Maintains PCMA trainer status, providing training as needed to      employees and evaluating and participating in the review of physical      intervention as necessary. 

11. Develop and      maintain a tracking and reporting system for the use of physical      intervention and seclusion.

12.  Obtain medication certification to be able      to administer medication to clients as needed.

13.  Collaborate      with the Academy Leadership Team through regular meetings to ensure operations      quality, and safety, and solve problems. 

14.  Oversee      and support non-exempt employee performance, attendance, and behavioral      concerns and documentation up to and including termination with the BHA      Academy Leadership Team and ensure needed documentation is submitted to      HR. 

15. Monitors      weekly payroll for accuracy; approving PTO and monitoring overtime in      preparation for timely submission to HR. Addresses payroll concerns with      employees and provides the Director with a summary for review. 

16.  Provide      oversight of processes to ensure the health and safety of individuals      served.

Salary Description $68,835 - $80,000
