JOB SUMMARY:
$19.00 an hour. With an upbeat, positive, and friendly attitude, provides excellent cashiering services to casino guests. As staffing needs and business volumes dictates, supervises the operation of the cage on assigned shift as necessary and in compliance with IGC Rules and Regulations.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Creates an exciting atmosphere for guests, following all Service Standards behaviors.
• Provides excellent guest service to all guests.
• Supervisors the operation of the cage on assigned shift on an as needed basis.
• Provides doubles/verifications and general support for Cage Cashiers if/when a supervisor is unavailable.
• Supports with verification of tokes, questions and support related to Caesars Rewards, and Poker Registration when available.
• Exchanges coupons, travelers' checks, and other forms of monetary value for currency.
• Exchanges E-Z pay vouchers and chips for currency.
• Responsible for coin/currency/chip inventories assigned.
• Prepares exchanges for cash advances and wire transfers.
• Prepares and completes all job-related paperwork which includes, but is not limited to, close out sheets, payment vouchers, chip transfers, jackpots and prepares variance receipts.
• Completes currency transaction reports when applicable.
• Completes multiple transactions logs when applicable.
• Issues markers.
• Maintains compliance with IGC regulations, internal control submissions and department policy and procedure.
• Assists with shift closings and reconciliations.
• Enters data into CMS ensuring accuracy on all accounts.
• Adheres to key control procedures.
• Reconciles bank at end of shift.
• Maintains confidentiality of all matters regarding guests and the business operation.
• Serves as a Role Model at all times.
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Previous casino cage cashiering experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Excellence in applying basic math calculations, problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have well-developed interpersonal skills and be a team player.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
• Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
