Position Summary

The Arena is seeking team-oriented individual that will be responsible for assisting in the facilities maintenance needs within the facility. This role involves the timely and efficient completion of preventative maintenance tasks, reactive repairs, and supervision and operation of arena equipment. The Maintenance Technician is expected to work independently and professionally across multiple skilled disciplines to support a world class sports / entertainment facility. In addition, the mechanical technician is expected to maintain all mechanical / electrical rooms to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. 

 

This role will pays an hourly rate of $28.00 to $30.00

Responsibilities

  • Install or Repair of assigned Work Orders
  • When directed, assist with setting up for pre-event set up.
  • Assist with supporting HVAC and electrical needs.
  • Inspect for quality of electrical service, panels, disconnects, and HVAC needs.
  • Repair or replace switches, lights, ballasts, or drivers
  • Repair and install drywall, painting, and glazing.
  • Assist with any and all plumbing repairs.
  • Unclog sinks/toilets/urinals.
  • Assist in major repairs and upgrades and participate in large-scale maintenance duties as part of the operations team.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in good repair and properly stored. 
  • Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations.
  • Mentor and Train Jr. technicians within the facility. 
  • Participate with all preventative maintenance services and programs while documenting all required updates.
  • Help integrate preventative maintenance schedules and guidelines.
  • Safely perform lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Have the ability to make immediate decisions and communicate with all users of the facility in an emergency.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in scheduled on call emergency calendar covering weekends and after hours.
  • Effectively communicate with all Engineering & Maintenance team members to accomplish projects and tasks. 
  • Document procedures, processes, and best practices in on-plan sets and end-user manuals or modifying what has previously been documented.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers’ recommendation and/or as assigned.
  • Provide on-site support during special events as well as during off hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Follow/uphold all safety standards.
  • Exhibit and deliver exceptional guests services to all Acrisure Arena visitors, users, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years apprenticeship in the mechanical field and 8 years field experience.
  • Related experience and/or training in HVAC/electrical/Plumber/Carpentry
  • Vast and proven understanding of HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing/Carpentry
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while communicating with management and team members.
  • Good communication skills with self-starter willingness to take initiative while working in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Intermittent Travel (<10% travel): Trips will require some air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15
