Job Summary
The Senior Oracle DBA is an expert who understands the technical aspects of Oracle Databases and eBusiness Suite in great depth, specifically Oracle databases and EBS R12.2. Will work with development teams, DBA team and infrastructure teams to ensure that usage of Oracle is always optimal and that the available tools and technologies are identified and used appropriately.

- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle RDBMS
- "Applications DBA" duties supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite (eBS) and its related technologies, such as SOA Gateway, Oracle Wallet, Certificates, Java installation, Web Logic, Oracle Applications Manager, XML Gateway, Oracle Patch Wizard, and EIS Reports
- Proficient in backup & restore methodologies, database tuning, cloning, and script writing
- Apply patches for both database and eBS applications
- Proficient in managing RAC cluster and DataGuard databases
- Assist in performance tuning, and monitoring of all system tiers (e.g. database servers, forms servers, concurrent manager servers)
- Install, configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Command Center tiers against eBS evironments
- Manage Oracle clusters as well as environments containing replication
- Provide infrastructure staff with requirements for Oracle host machines
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical events at unpredictable times
- Work with Oracle Technologies Manager on task distribution between internal team and external managed service company
- Represent database administration team in operations as well as project activities
- Maintain detailed documentation of DBA processes and procedures
- Coordinate with various teams to schedule database activities
- ITIL Foundation or related training (a plus)
- Oracle Exadata administration
Qualifications
- Highly organized; superior time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
- Self-motivated; self-starter; extroverted personality.
- Work well with all levels of the corporation.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related area or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Databases.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel
- Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs.
- Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in an office environment
