Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic team at Jefferson Health – Abington Hospital. The Hospitalist will be responsible for managing the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct inpatient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
  • Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including Rapid Response Team activations and Code Blue situations.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and communication.
  • Mentor and supervise medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers as applicable.
