The Opportunity

Retail Pricing Coordinator will review and substantiate Retail Pricing documentation under the close supervision of an attorney to establish accurate Retail Value and Verbal Statement advertising claims to ensure compliance with Federal Trade Commission's rules and regulations. In this role you will be accountable for independently establishing the retail price advertising claims in accordance with detailed direction from an attorney. These claims will be used on multiple retail platforms across multiple product categories. In this role you will also coach other departments to submit accurate information, approving and rejecting submissions in accordance with our established guidelines.

As an integral part of the larger Legal Advertising Compliance Group at QVC and HSN, the Advertising compliance analysts and Retail Pricing Coordinators, ensure all product claims and pricing claims made by the company are compliant with applicable FTC truth-in-advertising regulations; specifically, responsible for reviewing and approving all retail values on an item level across all categories

Your Impact

• Approve Retail Value advertising claims for multi-platform use for the respective business unit in accordance with established guidelines.
• Conduct marketplace research for identical or similar products and evaluate all documentation to authenticate pricing and values for on-air presentation and use on-air and on-line.
• Research and assess current market information for validity and compliance with FTC rules and regulations as well as company guidelines.
• Analyze and research discrepancies and unsubstantiated claims made on-air and work with legal counsel on possible solutions to remediate or revise.
• Educate Merchandising on company guidelines and procedures.
• Balance the strategy, needs and expectations of the business while adhering to company policies and FTC rules and regulations, as well as taking marketplace data into consideration.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
• Proficient in various computer programs including Microsoft Applications
• and fluent use of the Internet
• Must be detail-minded with strong time management abilities.
• Familiarity with or interest in FTC advertising regulations, preferred.
