We are actively seeking a Sr. Security Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team.  Qualified candidates can work remotely, preferably in either Central Standard (CST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager, Security and Technology Solutions (STS) Pre-Sales, the STS Sr. Security Solutions Architect primary role is to assess the security, interoperability, and IT operational requirements of prospective and existing clients, and craft effective solutions that address these requirements.

Collaborating with Rimini Street account executives, senior engagement managers, client success managers, product marketing, and global support delivery (GSD) teams, the STS Sr. Security Solutions Architect ensures that sales goals are attained while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, including contract renewal rates. Leveraging frequent prospective-client and existing client-facing interactions, the STS Sr. Security Solutions Architect also serves as the voice-of-the-customer to help shape new security offerings as well as enhancements to existing security offerings. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possess and maintain deep subject matter expertise in database, middleware, application, and hypervisor security, as well as in IT operational functions that include observability, monitoring, and change management.
  • Partner with in-region (Americas) sales team members (account executives, pre-sales for other product lines) to qualify and pursue sales opportunities; address security requirements and objections; participate in and lead client-facing meetings; support partners from sales team in their efforts to prepare quotes, proposals, and SOWs accurately and comprehensively for STS solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales enablement teams to prepare STS process inputs including pricing tools, messaging/value propositions, presentations, data sheets, ROI analysis, and training.
  • Ensure continuous growth and improvement both individually and organizationally through commitment to ongoing training, development, knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and delivery of projects that produce efficiencies and enhanced outcomes.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel no more than 10-20% of the time to support sales opportunities in assigned territory.

  • Candidates must be based in North America, preferably in either Central Standard (CST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.  

Education

  • BA/BS in information technology (IT) related field or equivalent experience
  • MBA or MSc will be a plus
  • Security certifications a plus

Experience  

  • At least 10 years (15 years preferred) total experience in IT-related roles, including roles both within IT operations and for IT vendors that develop or deliver IT products and services
  • At least 5 years in pre-sales roles for IT products or services
  • At least 2 years operational IT security experience or similar tenure in pre-sales roles for IT security products and services.
  • Working/hands-on knowledge of enterprise applications/ERP, middleware, database, and hypervisor technologies
  • Working knowledge of general cybersecurity and privacy/compliance frameworks and/or standards (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT) and industry/use case-specific requirements (examples include PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NERC-CIP, GDPR, ITAR, etc.)
