As our Senior Benefits Specialist, you'll oversee and manage all aspects of our employee benefits programs, including leaves of absence, worker's compensation, and general benefits administration with precision and genuine care. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless benefits delivery, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer and manage the company’s benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans and more
  • Become the benefits guru, fielding inquiries and coordinating with third-party vendors to keep our team covered
  • Assist with Open Enrollment
  • Craft compelling benefits content that speaks to our team's needs and our innovative culture
  • Spearhead benefits onboarding, turning new hires into Anduril enthusiasts from day one
  • Collaborate closely with various People teams to ensure smooth execution of operational processes, emphasizing employee experience and maintaining data accuracy
  • Interprets and administers all aspects of the leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Paid Family Leaves, Workers’ Compensation).
  • Manages all administrative aspects of leave claims and works closely with external partner and Payroll to ensure that pay is accurate and correct.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit-related inquiries, escalating issues to the appropriate team members and/or third-party vendors as needed.
  • Create, update, and maintain benefits-related content, including wiki pages, benefits guides, and new hire orientation
  • Support off-boarding/leavers as needed (COBRA benefits and unemployment EDD claims)
  • Responsible for developing a working knowledge of benefits administration and laws.


Basic Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in benefits administration, with a strong focus on leaves of absences and worker’s compensation
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced tech environment or similar high-growth industry is highly preferred
  • In depth knowledge of benefits programs, policies, and applicable regulations
  • A sharp eye for detail and a mind for process improvement
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks with the precision
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-service mindset
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage complex cases
  • The discretion to handle sensitive information with the care it deserves

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in benefits administration (e.g., CEBS)
  • Experience with self-funded health plans and wellness programs
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for going above and beyond, i.e, a desire to help and support employees – you recognize benefits and leave of absences can be sensitive to individuals.
  • Ability to act quickly and make smart decisions to resolve issues.

US Salary Range$90,000$135,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
