What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Join our dynamic Scout Motors team as Project Timeline Engineer, where you will be instrumental in orchestrating the timelines for our ambitious car factory project. Your meticulous planning and oversight will pave the way for a seamless start of production across various departments. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Timeline Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines for vehicle production, ensuring critical milestones are met in line with strategic project criteria.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring synchronization of schedules and timelines to promote seamless workflow and timely project deliverables.
  • Weekly Check-Ins: Participate in weekly reviews, guaranteeing steady progress and alignment with the established production schedule.
  • Collaborative Planning: Engage in content discussions during project meetings, harmonizing timeline plans with departmental experts.
  • Critical Path Analysis: Identify and highlight the critical path in the project timeline, foreseeing potential delays and formulating contingency strategies.
  • Benchmarking: Set and monitor target versus actual milestones in the timeline to gauge project performance and implement adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation: Manage the distribution and filing of timeline plans according to predefined agreements, maintaining transparency with project stakeholders.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Scout Motors seeks a proactive and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Project Timeline Engineer. The ideal candidate will embody a fusion of project management prowess and technical insight, ensuring that our cutting-edge car production timelines are meticulously curated and adhered to.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a specialization in Production Management or Planning.
  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in production program planning, preferably within the automotive sector, with a deep understanding of vehicle production processes.
  • Technical Acumen: A solid technical grasp of production timelines and their critical role in the quality and functionality of automotive manufacturing.
  • Analytical Skills: Competence in scrutinizing production schedules, discerning patterns, and employing data-informed strategi
