Maintenance Technician (Entry)

Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Maintenance Technician (Entry) opening for our client in Oxnard, CA.

 

Location: Oxnard, CA

Duration: 5 months

 

Duties:

Perform complex periodic preventive maintenance inspections, procedures, and tasks. Process work requests and other data through the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Repair equipment and solve facility problems. Must have the ability to operate power sweeper, forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift, perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on power sweeper, forklift, scissor lift, air compressors and rotating equipment, ability to repair equipment with minimum instructions, arc welding, soldering, brazing, etc. when requested., ability to use various electrical and mechanical measurements devices including micrometers, depth gauges, feeler gauges, dial gauges, voltmeter, caliper etc.

 

Skills:

• Familiar with specifications of pip fitting, shop hand tools, drills and taps, bearings, belts, seals, lubrication, pumps, and motors.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Forklift certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English).

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years related experience and training, preferably in industrial maintenance.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Preferably Associates degree or equivalent certifications in related field

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
