Senior Network Administrator

TAKKT group are expanding our presence in Budapest, Hungary, to host the new European TAKKT Competence Center (TCC). This expansion means we will be hiring highly skilled experts in digital and future-focused competencies, ensuring that we remain competitive and customer-centric as we embrace new technologies, including AI.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Juniper, Extreme Networks, Fortinet, and VMware NSX-T environments, along with strong skills in SD-WAN/LAN, DNS management, and network security. This role requires a proactive professional with a deep understanding of network architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and performance across our global network.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Administration & Maintenance:

• Manage and maintain Juniper, Extreme Networks, and Fortinet network

infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

• Administer and optimize NSX-T environments, including segmentation and

micro-segmentation.

• Oversee and maintain DNS services, ensuring reliability and security.

• Configure and manage SD-WAN/LAN solutions to improve network efficiency

and performance.

• Implement and manage VPNs, firewalls, and security appliances.

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, minimizing downtime and

performance disruptions.

• Provide Level 3 support for network-related incidents and escalations.

• Work closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve critical network issues.

Network Security & Compliance:

• Implement and enforce network security policies to protect against cyber

threats.

• Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation

strategies.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company security policies.

Project Management & Leadership:

• Lead network infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new

deployments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.

Professional Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Juniper, Extreme Networks, and Fortinet.

• Expertise in NSX-T (configuration, segmentation, and troubleshooting).

• Proficiency in SD-WAN/LAN implementation and management.

• Solid knowledge of DNS management, including troubleshooting and security

best practices.

• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar

tools is a plus).

• Strong understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, etc.).

• Experience with firewall rules, IPS/IDS, and VPN configurations.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as JNCIP/JNCIE (Juniper), NSE (Fortinet), VCP-NV

(VMware NSX), or Extreme Networks certifications.

• Experience in cloud networking (AWS & Azure) 

• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies
