About the role

Optiv’s Partner and Client Operations organizations are responsible for supporting the product, software, and services needs of our clients both domestically and internationally. The Director of Partner Operations is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our partner landscape through the lens of our systems, reporting, contracts and deal registration.  This role maintains solid relationships with partner and distribution contacts, and uses a data-driven approach to strategize opportunities for growth.   The Director of Partner Operations will be involved with ad hoc and repeatable data analysis, reporting, contract negotiation, process optimization, rebate maintenance, certification management, and deal registration.  The position has manager and individual contributor direct reports, and expectations to influence all levels of leadership cross functionally. 

How you'll make an impact

  • Skillfully collect partner, client & distribution data from multiple sources, systems and to various depths, translating analysis into recommendations and a point of view.  
  • Act as participant, contributor, and stakeholder for Optiv’s sourcing decisions.  
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of Optiv’s partner certification levels.  
  • Maintain accurate and repeatable rebate invoicing, predictions and tracking.  
  • Responsible for the deal registration function, focused on operational efficiency due to the high-volume nature.  Evolves the strategy with market trends, and uses data to drive expectations for the team.  
  • This person will be point of contact for partner and distribution relationships and escalation.  Represents Optiv in formal and informal settings to foster relationships while supporting Optiv’s strategic goals within the partner community. 
  • Troubleshoot advanced problems that involve partner or distribution components.  Offer guidance and direction based on experience and data.  
  • Organize, direct and motivate team members to align with strategic objectives.
  • Track recurring partner health reporting. Collaborate with Optiv’s Business Intelligence experts to design and maintain reporting, use the data to identify gaps or obstacles, build business cases to propose ideas.  
  • Stay abreast of market trends as it relates to cybersecurity.   
  • Create and deliver content for all levels of leadership, tailoring the information based on the audience. 
  • Develop and execute on RFI programs with key distributors to optimize rebates and gain operational efficiencies 
  • Attend partner and distribution events, as requested, and represent Optiv in a professional light.  Use event attendance to maximize value of our partnerships and seek opportunities to drive revenue growth.  
  • Apply appropriate effort to performance management of all direct reports.  Utilize knowledge of company and functional competencies to celebrate skills and accomplishments while identifying areas of improvement and goal-setting. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and use change management principles to drive change.   
  • Strategize ways to maximize the return on financial investment(s) offered by our partner and distribution community. 
  • Act as a liaison between Partner Operations and other critical business functions.  
  • Assists with M&A integrations, aligning new company with Optiv’s sourcing framework and partner operations

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in technology sales, operations, or vendor management. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing technology sales, operations or supplier management teams 
  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across cross-departmental teams: Sales, Alliances, Operations, Marketing, and IT. 
  • Proactive, self-starter with drive to build first class operations and infrastructure with the ability to work with minimal direction 
  • Experience with data analysis and strategy preferred (Expertise in excel with ability to transform data into a story).
  • Strong database and MS – office skills. Ability to learn systems quickly with little or no guidance. Experience in pulling data from domo, salesforce or netsuit preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and proven attention to detail. 
  • Ability to initiate process improvement plans and drive for change. 
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. 
  • Must be highly motivated and flexible in order to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with CRM (SalesForce.com) and Business Intelligence.  
  • Ability to travel throughout North America as needed.
