What you'll do...
Position: Associate Automation Engineer
Job Location: 165 Dascomb Road, Andover, MA 01810
Duties: Design and develop custom electrical, electronic, and mechanical service tools from ideation stage to production. Design and generate electrical documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, mechanical drawings, and test procedures. Create industry-standard CAD drawings for electrical and mechanical assemblies and package files for the manufacturing of PCBAs. Design and program advanced service tools using microcontrollers. Create and manage highly detailed and functional 3D models and detailed drawings. Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the development of new products. Create manufacturing process documents to control product quality. Be responsible for the creation, development, and release of component and system specifications and documentation, including ECO creation for releasing all product documentation to the PLM system.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or related area and 1 year of experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
Skills required: Experience designing mechanical parts using CREO and SOLIDWORKS. Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings following ASME standards. Experience creating test fixtures to validate designs using microcontroller. Experience creating testing scripts in C and C++ to automate testing. Experience managing component specifications and documentation in the PLM system. Experience fabricating prototypes using hand tools and 3D printers. Experience prototyping electrical circuits using Breadboard and Soldering skills. Experience testing and debugging electrical circuits and mechatronic systems using oscilloscopes and multimeters. Experience interfacing with manufacturing groups and suppliers to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of all designs (Design for Manufacturing (DFM)). Experience conducting user testing on designs. Experience performing tolerance analysis on mechanical designs. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
