phia is hiring a Process Improvement Padawan to drive the enhancement of operational processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality to support our federal customer. You will work closely with various teams to assess existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to drive operational excellence. You will utilize their analytical skills, process modeling expertise, and problem-solving abilities to streamline workflows and achieve better outcomes for the projects. This opportunity offers hybrid flexibility within the DMV (DC/MD/VA) Metro area.

What You'll Do
- Work with the project team leads to continue to identify existing processes that need improvement through analysis, data collection, and feedback from stakeholders. Evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of current processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights into pain points and bottlenecks.
- Develop a comprehensive process improvement strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Prioritize process improvement initiatives based on their potential impact and feasibility.
- Work closely with various project teams to gather input and secure buy-in for proposed changes. Identify and communicate the benefits of the process improvements and address concerns.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, changes, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and developing strategies for improvements.
- Coordinate, schedule, and support meetings by providing agendas, and meeting minutes and tracking moving project priorities.
- Define key process indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of the process change. Regularly assess the impact of process improvements on business outcomes. Prepare and present reports on project status, improvements achieved, and future recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in business process analysis, improvement, or reengineering.
- Federal consulting experience required.
- Proficiency in process modeling and analysis tools/software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in the Jedi Archives.
Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Public Trust with the ability to obtain or maintain TS/SCI
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5 years of experience utilizing Process Improvement methodologies (e.g., Capability Maturity Model (CMM)/ Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), ISO 9000, Six Sigma, agile).
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Process Professional (CPP) Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner
- Proficiency in JIRA/Confluence
