Mission Statement:
Amentum provides field, range, testing, chemical, and biological laboratory support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) located at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), UT. As a major test site for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, the WDTC is responsible for the test and evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and related operational concepts.
In addition to these responsibilities, we also support non-CB testing at the WDTC for the DOD and other Federal agencies, including environmental assessment/impact evaluation and munitions demilitarization.

Our Dugway Operation was established in 2004 with the award of the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services (FRC&LSS) contract to Amentum. Through the FRC&LSS contract, we have integrated with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD with a composite staff size of more than 170 personnel.

 

Job Description 

Amentum is seeking an Assistant Special Security Officer (SPD) to support the Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) contract. 

Duties include managing all classified documents stored in the classified area (Secret and Top Secret), ensuring they are properly marked, properly stored and properly tracked on the classified holdings list. The individual is also responsible for managing the classified computer systems. Finally, the individual is responsible for ensuring the classified area will pass all inspection criteria related to Information Security and Operations Security. This includes a collateral secret classroom, an Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) vault and office area and a Secret Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The contractor shall ensure compliance IAW AR 380-5, Information Security; AR 380-28 Section 2-6 Special Security Officer (SSO), DODM 5105.21, V.1-3, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); DoD Directive 5205.07, SAP Policy; AR 380–381, Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM); Operations Security, AR 530-1.

 

 

Here's What You'll Need:

 
  • Candidate must have a Baccalaureate degree with at least three (3) year of experience in security administration.
  • Coordinating the processing of security clearances.
  • Experience with security locks and combinations.
  • Protect classified government information and publish security awareness for all cleared personnel.
  • Investigate and oversee the investigation of losses and security violations and recommend corrective action
  • Develop procedures and coordinate procedure manual revisions.
  • Identify causes to include intentional or unintentional negligence, inadequate security controls in-place, or inadequate security education in-place.
