Meet the team:
- Dexcom is seeking a Sales Operations Data Engineer to work closely with Global and Incentive Compensation teams to provide custom incentive systems, analysis and insights to support the processing of complex and nuanced sales incentive programs. The individual should be a self-starter and is comfortable working with diverse data sets and building out automated processing of complex business rules.
Where you come in:
- You will analyze complex business processes
- You can map business processes to dimensional (star-schema) data models
- You have experience with batch data processing/loading (ETL)
- You will be working with multiple data platforms (Google BigQuery, Postgres, AWS Redshift) in mostly a development capacity, but also some admin duties (security, user management, etc)
- You will identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner
- You will configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements
- You will work with cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues
- You will do reporting and data visualization in Tableau
- You will assist in managing small projects and contribute to large projects, as well as collaborate with all levels of users to identify business requirements and design business cases/user stories
- You will validate to ensure accuracy in data and evaluate all processes according to the business requirements
- You will monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems and recommending actions
- You will maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12
