As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and assisting visitors and staff with professionalism and exceptional customer service. You will also utilize technology such as access control systems and alarm panels, and may be asked to use a computer or tablet as part of your daily duties. Pay Rate: $15.36 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You’ll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports as needed.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
