Design and build cutting-edge machine vision and automated control systems that power the production of life-saving medical devices. You will collaborate on every stage of development—from initial concept and prototyping to software coding and troubleshooting—to create the sophisticated equipment used in advanced manufacturing and testing. Systems will use AI to make decisions and IA to aid humans in making decisions.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
This position is on-site and requires the employee to work from our designated office or facility. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Design vision systems including specifying cameras, lighting, and lensing requirements
● Lead or participate on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluate feasibility of concepts, and provide formal estimates for machine vision applications
● Provide leadership on championing functional best practices and new technology initiatives
● Influence and define functional, departmental, and divisional procedures through involvement with cross-functional engineering initiatives
● Lead project teams that include Designers, Engineers, and Technicians in the design, assembly, and debugging of equipment
● Integrate machine vision systems into PC- or PLC-based systems
● Explain factual information of limited complexity to others in straightforward situations
● Organize, present, and explain data/information to internal and external audiences
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
● Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related job category
● Bachelor’s degree
● Ability to travel up to 20%
● No sponsorship available
Preferred qualifications:
● Proven ability to influence without authority
● Boston Scientific experience
● Certified Vision Professional – Basic
● Fluent in programming languages, packages, and concepts:
