Job Description
What Your Impact Will Be:
1. Program Management Support for Transformational Supply Chain Projects:
• India Diversification Plan
• Raw Material Parts Standardization
2. Implement Spend Analysis Dashboard & Review Process for $2B spend across Manufacturing and Procurement network
• Improve Visibility and Identify Cost Improvement opportunities across:
- $800MM Raw Material Spend
- $500MM FG Manufacturing (Conversion) Spend for Owned & Operated Plants
- $400MM FG Manufacturing (Conversion) Spend for 3d Party FG Vendors
- $350M Transportation Spend
3. Establish Business Review Framework with accountability to deliver annual AOP Goals every year through a disciplined results-based review process, including dynamic mitigating actions
• Internal Monthly Top-2-Top with GBT Category Leads
• External Top-2-Top meetings with key External Suppliers
• Semi-Annual Business Performance Reviews with Owned & Operated Plants
• Benchmarking and Best Practice Sharing across Mattel 3d Party Vendor and O&O teams
4. Identify Cost & Process Improvement opportunities across Product Supply
• Prioritize critical process improvement areas and opportunities to be added to OPG Program
- Challenge inefficient upstream processes/requests through Activity Based Costing
- Cost Engineering Rate Governance to drive cost accuracy and savings
- Ensure consistency of cost savings treatment (MCV or reduced transfer price)
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor degree required; Master degree preferred (MBA or Masters in science, engineering, business or a quantitative / econ-friendly topic area)
- 10+ years total professional experience required; can include experience from across various industries and job functions
- Analytics: very comfortable with data, analysis and analytical tools (excel, dashboards, statistics)
- Communications: adept at drawing insights from numerical data and conveying it in a synthesized and succinct manager for users at all levels of the organization
- Business judgement: highly skilled at understanding implications (“so whats”) of data and developing action plans that lead from data to compelling insights to actionable recommendations and plans. This function can see prioritize what matters.
- Relationship development: this function is working across GSC and the broader Mattel organization. They are seen as insightful, friendly, approachable and credible.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $168,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
