Job Description

The Account Manager, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing, expanding, and managing up to $15 million in annual revenue through national and multi‑regional corporate partners engaged in cause‑marketing and sponsorship programs. This role leads national and regional strategies for top‑tier partners, driving impactful fundraising and brand‑building initiatives that advance the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship manager and strong communicator with a passion for mission‑driven corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships generating $150,000–$3,000,000 annually.
  • Develop, grow, and steward strategic long‑term partnerships through tailored national and regional plans.
  • Implement fundraising campaigns, marketing activations, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Cultivate strong, multi‑level relationships within partner organizations.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to expand fundraising and awareness.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with senior relationship managers to support stewardship and fundraising for high‑visibility top tier accounts as well as partner with corporate development leadership on strategic assignments.
  • Work closely with internal teams including marketing, events, communications, and territories to align strategy and deliver seamless execution.
  • Support on‑ and off‑campus events, national and regional conferences, corporate meetings, and engagement opportunities.
  • Provide interim portfolio coverage as needed to ensure excellent service and business continuity.

Planning, Reporting & Execution

  • Develop measurable annual partnership plans including revenue goals, timelines, marketing strategy, and campaign KPIs.
  • Track and report on partnership performance, adjusting plans to meet revenue and awareness objectives.
  • Represent the organization at national, regional, district, and corporate events to activate campaigns and deepen engagement.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation capabilities.
  • Proven experience engaging customers, donors, or corporate stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective collaborator across multiple internal departments.
  • Excellent written communication, including proposals and partner correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web navigation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3+ years in fundraising, marketing, sales, public relations, or nonprofit management.
  • Minimum 3+ years of direct account management experience with complex or high‑value accounts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fundraising, marketing, account management and public relations principles.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Work Location

This position is based at ALSAC’s National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
