Short Description
Accurately and timely prepares all medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as per policy and regulation. Restocks Automated dispensing devicesRestocks CarousalsFills Floor stock requisitionsCompletes expired medication inspectionsAnswers phones to assist in dispensing questionsEnsures all medications are properly delivered.Able to breakdown wholesaler order and organize storeroomOrganize bulk fluid inventory(s)Functionally use the hospital information systems
Experience Required
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Education Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire) Must register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy during the first 10 days of employment.Must complete the registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy and become an active registered Pharmacy Technician within 180 days of hire.Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) - preferredCompletion of basic pharmaceutical calculations
