MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As the Network Services Operations Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing senior-level leadership and oversight of enterprise network operations across federal infrastructure environments. Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of network services and operations, including planning, design, implementation, performance monitoring, incident response coordination, and service continuity. The Network Services Operations Technical Lead shall perform the following tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Direct the engineering and operational execution of enterprise network services across federal environments, driving modernization of routing, switching, wireless, remote access, and cloud‑connected architectures.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day network operations by directing teams responsible for LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN orchestration, wireless infrastructure, remote access platforms, transport circuits, and multi‑cloud connectivity.
  • Set and manage technical performance baselines by analyzing SLA adherence, network telemetry, KPIs, capacity metrics, and reliability indicators to maintain optimal service performance.
  • Direct incident response and root‑cause analysis workflows, authorizing containment, recovery, and corrective engineering actions to restore and stabilize services.
  • Drive execution of network engineering roadmaps by developing detailed technical schedules, identifying delivery risks, sequencing critical path activities, and allocating engineering resources.
  • Define technical requirements and evaluation criteria for network service acquisitions, contributing engineering expertise during market research, vendor assessments, and solution reviews.
  • Deliver operational assessments, architectural impacts, and modernization updates to senior federal leadership, articulating operational readiness, system health, and mission alignment.
  • Enforce compliance with federal cybersecurity and network standards—such as FISMA controls, TIC 3.0 architectures, and Zero Trust requirements—by integrating them into operational workflows and engineering decisions.
