This role can be worked remotely anywhere in the US.

    Job Description

    • End-to-end responsibility for the data collection, transformation, architecture, storage, governance and usage
    • Set the path to the future of a mature, scalable data environment
    • Build and govern standards for data and development
    • Lead the architecture of the data warehouse, data models, data marts, and data fabric including the selection of the tools and support partners
    • Work with Data Management, Product, Service Delivery, Solutions Engineers, and Infrastructure resources to define a scalable, fault tolerant, and near real-time set of data assets that will supply our business users with reliable and available data
    • Manage the process of external and internal data integrations into the data warehouse and BI platforms
    • Influence analytics super-users, BI developers, data engineers and eventually data scientists to be great data citizens
    • Improve data and analytics navigation – allowing the business to easily find the insights they need
    • Manage the vendors and negotiate renewal contracts
    • Participate in developing department business processes, roles and responsibilities, and overall team strategy
    • Manage resource loading of your team members, set priorities, and communicate possible resource constraints early
    • Recruit, train, develop and retain excellent talent
    • Establish the pace of urgency and quality across your team
    • Identify risks, develop mitigations and be transparent about good and bad news

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years experience and deep knowledge in data engineering, cloud data warehousing, data architecture, and business intelligence (Snowflake, SQL, Ayla, AWS, Azure, GCP, Tableau, Oracle, QlikView, Domo, BI Publisher)
    • 5+ years of team management experience
    • Proficient in coordinating timelines, resources and priorities to deliver programs on time
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds
    • Strong detail orientation with proven ability to work quickly and accurately
    • Willingness to question the way things have been done in the past
    • Must thrive in a fluid and changing environment
    • Must work collaboratively
